Vaiko demands Modi to stop deportation of Lankan Tamil

Alleging that there was a conspiracy to take out his life by branding him as a member of the banned LTTE, Vaiko said Dayanraj has been on a fast at the Trichy Refugee camp for the last five days demanding that he should not be sent back to Sri Lanka. India’s MDMK General Secretary Vaiko today urged the Indian Government to immediately drop its move to forcibly send back a Sri Lankan refugee identified as Dayanraj from the Trichy Refugee camp.Vaiko said that following a request from the Sri Lankan Government that some criminal cases were pending against him, the Narendra Modi-led Indian Government has decided to forcibly send back Dayanraj to Sri Lanka, the UNI news service reported. Accusing the Tamil Nadu Government of supporting the Centre in this regard, the MDMK leader urged the Centre to immediately drop its move to forcibly send back Dayanraj to Sri Lanka.He said if the Centre failed to do so there would be agitations against the Union and State governments.
